I-Gestamp, i-Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology kanye nabanye abalingani be-consortium bafuna ukuthuthukisa izingxenye ze-chassis ezenziwe ngezinto ezihlanganisiwe ze-fiber kuphrojekthi ethi “Eco-Dynamic SMC”. Inhloso yayo ukudala umjikelezo wokuthuthukiswa ovaliwe wamathambo e-wishbones okumiswa kwezimoto akhiqizwa ngobuningi. Ngesikhathi senqubo yokuthuthukiswa, insimbi esetshenziswa ngokwesiko izothathelwa indawo yizinhlanganisela ze-fiber ezenziwe ngezinto ezingasetshenziswa kabusha ukuze kusetshenziswe “ubuchwepheshe be-CF-SMC” (i-carbon fiber sheet-like molding compound).
Ukuze kutholakale okuqukethwe kwefayibha kanye nesisindo senqwaba yezinto ngaphambi kokudluliselwa ku-mold, kuqala kudalwe i-twin yedijithali kusukela ekukhiqizweni kwezinto zokusetshenziswa. I-prototype izobe isihlolwa njengengxenye emotweni yokuhlola ukuze kuhlolwe ukuziphatha komshini kanye ne-acoustic. Iphrojekthi ye-Eco-Power SMC, eyaqala ngo-Okthoba 2021, igxile enkambisweni yokuthuthukiswa ebanzi, eqhubekayo yokuthuthukisa izingxenye zefayibha ezihambisana nenqubo yokugunyazwa kwe-OEM. Ngaphezu kwezingxenye ze-chassis yemoto, ingxenye yokumiswa kwe-motor glider nayo izothuthukiswa.
